Authors & Books Festival / Naples Writers’ Conference Created Quite a Stir

The NPC Authors &  Book Festival and Writers’ Conference created quite a stir in downtown Naples last month, for the 9th consecutive year.

As promised, 16 courses at the Conference gave writers, both established and fledglings, creative ideas to enhance their writing and marketing skills.

Exhibitors in the Fifth Avenue shops were also delighted with the attendance and book sales.

Kudos to Sandy Lender, for masterminding a Conference with a fresh look, adding new touches and lots of social networking presence on the web, facebook and twitter.

Kudos also to Phil Jason for surviving his Ninth Festival and for over-seeing all the components so the event worked smoothly.

As Phil Jason says: "Glad our featured speaker had a great time" in Naples, Florida. Read Nancy J. Cohen's recount of the Naples Writers' Conference.

I was fortunate to participate in the Naples Press Club Writer’s Conference in Naples, FL as a guest speaker this past weekend. On Friday, I appeared at the Celebrity Luncheon held at the popular Vergina Restaurant on 5th Avenue South.

Lesley Frost: What an amazing day!!! I had a great time participating in the Naples Authors Event today. Thanks goes out to all involved in organizing this incredible day, and also to the shops I was stationed at: Kilwin’s of Naples Ice Cream, Prudential Florida Realty, and Vergina’s on Fifth. Sold a lot of books, met a lot of fantastic people, and gained a few new character ideas from time spent people watching! A total success!! Kudos to you, NPC!

It truly was a blast! It gave me a nice little shove to get my new novel Trophy finished. Inspired, energized, and ready to get it done!  (April 11 at 6:08 am)
