She needs no introduction to the Naples community, but she is new at the helm of the Naples Press Club.
 
Donna Fiala and I have something in common. We were both born on the west side of Cleveland, Ohio! However, she has lived in Naples since 1974 and is much respected as our County Commissioner since 2000.

 
Donna’s community service in Naples is well documented. At one time she was Director of Community Relations for Naples Community Hospital systems, and she is a past president of the Public Relations Society of America of Collier County.
 
In government work her footprint is seen in groups such as the Greater Naples Civic Association, Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce and the East Naples Civic Association, where her first thoughts of becoming a Commissioner began.
 
A strong advocate for improving the appearance and impression of the East Naples community, she is now working on the improvements for the Bayshore Drive area.
 
On the Board of Commissioners she has served as Vice chairman and as the Board’s liason to the County Government Productivity Committee, and as Chairman of the Board and the Tourist Development Council.
 
Donna looks forward to using these skills to move the Naples Press Club forward in 2010.
