Naples Press Club Qualifications for Membership

Active Membership

Electronic Media including the Internet: Reporters, editors, news directors, assignment editors, news writers and producers and directors of news or public affairs programs who are or were regularly employed by broadcasting stations, television or cable networks, and whose chief attention is or was given to gathering and disseminating news or analysis and not for a special interest group. Presidents and general managers of such media are included.

Print Media: Reporters, editors, writers and authors of non-fiction books or articles, publishers, editorial and news cartoonists and artists, and news photographers. Print Media includes daily newspapers, periodicals and other publications, such as bonafide newsletters, issued regularly for more than one year and supported by advertising and paid subscriptions, and which are or were not house organs for any organization or movement.

News Agencies: Reporters, editors and writers of news; producers of news and public affairs; still photographers and videographers regularly employed by news agencies and whose work is paid for by newspapers, periodicals, broadcasting stations, television or cable networks, or other news disseminating media.


Associate Membership

Applicants having an interest in the Naples Press Club who do not qualify for Active Membership may join the club as an Associate Member.

Approval

The qualifications of any applicant for either Active or Associate membership will be determined by the Board of Governors.
